Rebecca Fraley-Corrado

RFCsitblueDynamic and collaborative with a sharp ability to solve problems, Rebecca Fraley-Corrado brings nearly 30 years experience as a senior leader within the higher education sector. From her role as a change agent to her uncanny ability to identify risks, Rebecca has been able to help institutions retain employees and save hundreds of thousands of dollars through various creative initiatives.

Currently working as the Assistant Vice-President of Administration and Finance at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn; She is responsible for day-to-day business and accounting affairs; and coordination, planning, and reporting on the financial activities of the college. Additionally, she will develop, implement, and manage financial aspects to the Enterprise Resource Planning. She was previously a Consultant to the Office of Compliance & Diversity and Title IX Coordinator, Rebecca provided guidance in a number of key areas, such as organizational development, succession planning, human resources and employee relations.

In her position as the Vice President of Administration with the School Construction Authority, she helped to break down silos and facilitate communications by implementing special employee events for the first time in the organization’s history. She also improved employee retention by establishing a new comprehensive training program and ensured that HR employees were cross-trained and SHRM certified,  The employees embraced the creation of  Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Pluralism as a part of the culture. She is a staunch supporter of social justice and civil rights.

In her position as Assistant Vice-President of Administration at FIT for six years, she learned about design and fashion while working on projects with the students.

One of Rebecca’s strengths lies in her ability to thrive well under high-pressure situations both professionally and personally. In fact, it was this resilience that helped her overcome her battle with cancer several years ago, giving her both the drive and insight to be a stronger, more dynamic leader. Rebecca also brings her heritage as a biracial female to her various roles, promoting organizational well beiing, equality, fairness and access to opportunity. She is a powerful force for momentum who applies her unique expertise and deep experience to create and implement highly effective policies. 


Rebecca started her career in education working as the Associate Director of Human Resources for Labor Relations for Kingsborough Community College, and was later promoted to the position of Associate Dean of Finance and Administration.

Rebecca has a passion for the Arts, She studied piano, guitar, acting.and enjoyed having the lead role in two colleage plays..A native of Queens, New York, Rebecca received her Master’s of Public Administration from the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College. .
